Bryan Prince Booksellers and the Women & Liminal Committee of Hamilton present OUTspoken, a poetry slam in celebration of HammerPride 2011. Contestants are invited to write and recite an original poem containing the word silence or censor. Two cash prizes of $100 each will be awarded, one by our judges panel and one by audience members. Michelle Joly and Carrie Sadler are Red Deer College Music Alumni of 2001. Michelle continued her education at Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton, AB and from there studied in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. It was there she really honed in on her songwriting, guitar and piano playing skills. She has been actively involved in Musicals and choirs across the country.Michelle is now teaching Voice, Guitar and Piano at 53rd Street Music in Red Deer, AB and has just released her first solo Album “You’re Not Alone”. It is a soulful, jazzy, folk album that has been her focus for the last 2 years. With her long time college friend Carrie, they will be touring North America from Coast to Coast starting June 1st.
