Children’s Puppet Show — Carlos and His 5 Reasons

Staircase Show Reviewed!

Inspired by a Spanish folk-tale, Carlos and His 5 Reasons is a delightful puppet play in the table-top style, featuring a little boy and the many witches hidden in his home. Join Carlos as he attempts to solve his problems in a rather unconventional manner, and discovers his own resourcefulness in the process. Shadow play and a live music introduction are also included in this magical story.  Carlos and His Five Reasons is based on a traditional folk-tale originally written in Spanish, translated by Barbara Raimondi and edited by Kerry Corrigan, Marie Franek and Helena Adamczyk into a puppet play, featuring a young boy named Carlos, and the six witches that he encounters. The story takes an amusing and light-hearted approach to this tale of a young boy learning to deal with his anger Felt puppets were constructed by Marie Franek and the set was built by Gary Santucci, with props and decoration by Helena Adamczyk and Anne Parker. The play lasts approximately 35 minutes, and is only a little frightening for the wee ones (so far, they’ve all survived!).
