The Staircase needs all the help it can get. The Staircase only exists due to the generous support of kind Hamiltonians who give freely of their spare time. We are a grass roots, non-granted, community performance space that survives by ticket sales, rental fees and cafe sales. The best way you can help is by coming out, seeing shows and enjoying our cafe. So the best way to help is to enjoy the fabulous stuff we have to offer.
To keep in touch with us you can join out twitter feed, our facebook group and/or email list. Links to these are listed in the sidebar.
You can donate your precious time to The Staircase by volunteering. The variety of jobs are endless. Over the last decade countless volunteer hours have gone into construction projects, shows, lobbying, maintenance, and other essential tasks. It is this countless energy that makes The Staircase what it is.
We try and meet monthly for general tidy and maintenance. This is where do the little things that might otherwise slip through the cracks. Jobs range from as simple as cleaning to as complicated as lighting and sound improvements in the theatre. All jobs are based on your knowledge and comfort level, and it is always a fun time. You provide the sweat and we’ll thank you with a ticket to our monthly improv comedy show The Workshow. Advance notice is appreciated, but feel free to just show up un-announced, we will find some thing for you to do.
